note: the company is downtown right now, but are likely moving to Yonge and

Note: Client will hire up to 2 Intermediates... 3 years total
experience and 1 year of J2ME
Intermediate J2ME Developer
Performs all or part of the full life-cycle development process,
ranging from analysis, design, development, implementation modification and
documentation for Java-based line-of-business software systems. Requires
interface development, business logic programming and RDBMS skills.
Involved in all major development efforts. Participates in the testing
process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and
certification of software.
Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related area and minimum
of 3 years experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge
of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a
particular field.
Responsibilities:
Create the high-level J2EE software design and technical specs
Design, code, test and implement java-based software applications
Participate in peer reviews on specifications, design and code
Works with development teams to resolve development issues
Work closely with QA and Operations to ensure smooth QA and deployment
of applications
Work with project teams to plan integration and implementation
strategies
Participate in technical meetings
Requirements:
Experience in all phases of the software development life-cycle
J2ME
Applied knowledge of designing n-Tier OO system architectures using EJB
technologies
Applied experience with OOP/OOD, UML and RUP
Experience in developing in J2EE framework (EJB, Servlet, JMS, etc.)
Experience in working with one or more commercial J2EE application
servers (Websphere, Borland Enterprise Server, JBoss,etc.)
Extensive experience with Borland Jbuilder a must
Applied experience with RDBMS design, development and maintenance
(Oracle, etc.)
Effective communication skills
Flexible, motivated self-starter
Applied knowledge of user interface design a plus
Knowledge of and/or experience with Web Services Standards (SOAP, XML,
