Windows CE Software Engineer - Telecommute
Position Type: Contract and Full time positions available
Location: Telecommute with some onsite ramp up etc.
Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer (multiple positions)
Job Specifics:
Our client is a software development firm specializing in world-class solutions based on the Microsoft Windows CE platform. They provide embedded solutions for Pocket PC, Smartphone, networking, media devices, as well as automotive industry solutions on the Windows Automotive platform.
Much of the development work is customized for existing or new hardware platforms. This would include work developing device drivers, applications, developing and executing test plans, analyzing and debugging performance on both a hardware and software level.
Job Requirements for full time positions:
Four or more years experience writing embedded software or kernel level code including drivers or performing hardware adaptations specifically with Windows CE and Platform Builder.
Windows Mobile and Smartphone Adaptation Kit a plus.
Multiple hardware platform experience a plus
Candidate should have strong understanding of data structures and programming fundamentals using C/C++ and at least one assembly language and Windows CE.
BSCS/CE/EE or equivalent work experience
Experience working on small teams as well as independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
Job Requirements for contract positions:
Previous experience on the Windows CE platform
Solid understanding of device driver & application and device driver interfaces with focus on Audio & EMU subsystems
C/C++ expertise with good debugging skills.
Short learning curve and fast turn around
Prefer:
Experience with I2C and camera interfaces
Directdraw and Directshow.
