We are currently working on a permanent position for an Engineering firm in Calgary who has a need for a Materials Lab Coordinator.牋 Below are some details of the position for your review and consideration.
Materials Lab Coordinator
Setting up lab to be fully functional
Developing test procedures for soils, concrete and asphalt
Testing and reporting
Getting and maintaining CSA accreditations for concrete testing
Licensing application, storage use and procedures for nuclear densometer (nuclear moisture density apparatus)
Overall safety of the organization
Conducting geotechnical site investigations, sample collection and material testing on soils, concrete and asphalt.
Position will require visiting various construction sites and in-house laboratory testing
Experience should include familiarity with various materials test procedures
CSA certification in concrete testing and/or use of a nuclear moisture-density apparatus will be an asset
Self-motivated individual with strong technical/practical background, excellent interpersonal /communication skills
