the rational behind this kind of nonsense is the so-called victim mentality.

the_dumb_one(dumb_and_dumber)
the guy thought he was victimized because he spent money and time on the girl. when a relationship breaks people tend to negate everything associated with the relationship, for now the whole thing is a big waste -- money, time and youth. that is why in so many divorce cases you see the two parties on each other's throat all the time. the victim mentality is the mentality of the "weaker creature". I cannot compete with you in power, success, wealth, but at least I can deprive you of your life. this is not diginity. this is stupidity plus loser mentaility.
the man is a coward, to say the least.

          命不知道能不能保住呢，外面还有那么多人说风凉话，她连替自己说话的机会可能都没有了。大概10年多以前的时候，我们那地方出过一起泼硫酸案。作案的是个重点大学男生，当时接受记者采访，说那个女的（高中同学）怎么骗他钱财，说的无非也是什么尊严一类的话。一时间，大家议论纷纷，同情这个男的，说什么好好一个精英被毁了。可巧，女生是我母亲学校的学生，了解的人一说，什么呀，那个男的就一BT,说的事很多是他自己想出来的，莫名奇妙的。可是那女孩子可怜，毁了容，还背着骂名，只好退学回家了。
          看看他说的那话，他的“自尊”说白了只不过是自己得不到手，就要毁了她而已！他要是真想死怎么杀了人以后不给自己几刀。
