The coroner has now been called in after a two year old boy died while waiting in the emergency room at Toronto East General Hospital.
The parents say they took their son to the E-R because he had been vomiting and had diarrhea and his condition wasn't improving. They say they waited an hour to see a doctor early Monday morning. But say the doctors only came when they sarted yelling for help. Their son had apparently stopped breathing. Minutes later he was dead.
Other parents going into the hospital today tell 680 News it could happen anywhere because our hospitals are so busy.
As part of the investigation the coroner is now performing toxicology tests. The results could take up to 8 weeks.
