don't worry, bell entourage workers in ontario are on strike now. no one will come to fix it

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛yes, it is your liability to call phone company to have them dispatch a technician to help u locate the underground wire. even though that is free, you have to call them and let them do it.
right now, the wires are damaged, in theory, it is the owner's responsibility to get it fixed, and you may be charged by the hours spent on it plus the material.
based on ur description, the wires were shorting out the circuit and that would trigger the phone company to report it to 911, it is a simple regulated action. since some people are able to lift the phone and unable to dial a number in an emergency situation. so it is important for the phone company to divert those calls to 911 center. (we have seen it in the movie, some one life the phone, and some thing terrible happened and they can not dial). (don't ask me how it got passed).
so anyway, take care
right now, the service shall be ok, but, since the insulation and protection layer of the wires are gone, and summer(rain season) is coming, you better get it fixed, or you will see the service qulity of the phone service drop dramasticly over the usage.

    昨天天气好, 我们有一棵小树苗想把它种在前院. 一铁鍬下去, 碰到一跟电线, 把电线的外皮铲破了. 我们当时没当回事, 把土埋上就完事. 睡到半夜, 警察敲门, 说我们打了911, 一查电话确实是忙音. 打到BELL 去问说如果电话线被损坏会发生这种自动拨打电话的情况.

    请问大家是否遇到过此类情况, 是怎么解决的? 我们现在就把电话线的外皮用绝缘胶布包了包, 但是不是还可能出现上诉情况呢? 如果BELL 来人的话, 是我们的责任会不会罚款?
