PROGRAMMER Salary Range: $39,866 - $49,834
The Simcoe County District School Board is seeking applicants for the position
of Programmer at the Education Centre in Midhurst, Ontario. Working from
specifications, the successful candidate will be involved in developing new
applications, modifying existing applications, testing, documenting,
implementing solutions and providing on-going support and training.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Candidates must have a college diploma or university degree in a computer
related field. Preference will be given to applicants with co-op and/or
part-time experience in a Programming role. Experience with ORACLE SQL and
PL/SQL, Visual Basic, HTML, ASP, JSP, ORACLE web tools, including ORACLE Portal,
MS Access, Excel would be an asset. The successful candidate will have excellent
interpersonal skills, written and oral communications, effective project
management and organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as
part of a team. Experience with JD Edwards Financials, eSIS, IPPS and Active
Directory working in a WIN NT/W2K environment would be an asset.
