Qualifications:
· Canadian CA, CMA, CGA designation
· Minimum 5 to 7 years of related experience
· Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
· Ability to assess financial and operational processes for efficiency, effectiveness and internal controls.
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently
· Dynamic team player who also works well with others
· Strong PC skills using Microsoft Office
· Ability to meet tight deadlines
· Detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills
· Food distribution and/or wholesale experience is an asset
Responsibilities:
· Perform weekly and period-end review of operating expenses in support of reporting processes and business review.
· Provide support to the preparation and review of various corporate, internal weekly, and period financial reports.
· Perform financial and operational process reviews and identify and implement improvements to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with various Finance and Operations representatives in these reviews.
· Assist in the establishment and documentation of policies and procedures as well as monitoring of compliance.
· Assist the Controller in completing Special Projects.
· Any other duties as assigned
