Concerning the Chinese forum...The answer I would give is this...There is only one God...and that one God is in charge...and the one God is indeed the God of the Christian...Jesus...God has shown his love for us by sending his Son and by dying for us. God did not send the tsunami...before sin entered the world there would have been no earthquakes, or sin, or tsunami. However, God did allow this to happen. Why? His reasons are His own. But, this tsunami is but a foreshadowing of the final destruction God WILL bring upon the earth unless the earth turn from it's ways of worshipping idols and loving sin. If the God of the Christian sent this disaster, it was but a flick of His little finger...And I don't think he flicked!!! There will come a day however when God will move against the world. But he is holding off so that we can believe before it is too late.
The biblical answer...God is in charge...BUT...we reap what we sow...God CAN send disaster...BUT...it is tempered in love for the good of the world...terrible things happen...BUT...that doesn't mean it is God's fault, He didn't bring sin into the world...nor death...we did. God is NOT required to show mercy to anyone, nor is anyone entitled to a life of riches and ease. This tsunami is just a painful reminder that there is not paradise on earth...and that sin has destroyed whatever we could have hoped to create. God is our only hope...if there were christians who died in this tsunami...they are in heaven resting.
Generally speaking...It is better to not try to explain God's ways to those who wouldn't understand. In one sense you can say that God is responsible because He didn't stop it...but then, nowhere does God say he will stop disasters...and he also has used disasters to remind people of His wrath.....
But, when confronted with the wrath of God...people usually don't seek His love, they use it as an excuse for why they don't want to have anything to do with God. In another biblical sense, sometime he uses disasters to push people who are perishing even farther away from him so they can experience true emptiness and perhaps through that search for him....
IN THE END...NO ONE BUT GOD HIMSELF KNOWS FOR SURE...we don't know if HE did it, or just allowed it. We don't know if it is a judgement for
sin, or a needed event to bring more to Christ...BUT BE ASSURED OF THIS, GOD KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING, and he is working it all out for the good of
His children and His kingdom.
Doesn't help much, there just aren't any 'sure' answers...更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
