The Attic is open space with thermal insulation which perform heat and sound barrier.

The Problem is there is no such fibreglass or similar material as sound insulation between 2x6@ 16" wood stud parition wall, dividing two units

Solution 1:
you can demolish drywall on your side and put sound insulation in cavity to fill 100% between each stud, after that rebuilt drywall and painted to make sure there will be no discernible cracks or voids in the visible surfaces in order to prevent sound leakage. The STC rating could be 40 or more in accordance with OBC table 8.1, this means you might feel comfortable at that time.

认真的请教关于semi的房子attic隔音的问题，我实在是衰透了，大家请看，故事是这样的 -dwest(开始动刀); 2004-12-23 {574} (#2042685@0)
1）我隔壁一家，没见过女主人，男的正当壮年的样子
2）我刚搬入新家不久，我住2楼的主卧室，和隔壁的房子的主卧也就一墙之隔
3）连续两个晚上大约12：00-1：00听见从隔壁传来两个男人嘿咻嘿咻的声音，那个激烈啊，其中还夹杂着含混不清的对话
4）他们还真能干，每次都持续大约40分钟-1小时左右，还很知道调节，嘿咻嘿咻一会儿就停一会儿说会儿话，大约是抽空儿交流一下体会。我开始以为是电视，后来发现是真人秀，每次动静结束了，就听见地板上的走动声。
5）我分析了一下情况，我的窗户应该来说颇为隔音，多半是从attic上面传来，因为我上去一次，发现中间是通的。
6）我该做些什么才能有效的阻挡隔壁的声音呢？
