Systems Analyst
Hospitality Services
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Information Technology, Hospitality Services, the incumbent will be responsible for creating, developing and maintaining numerous proprietary computer systems including Diebold's Oracle based system for the student meal plans; accounts; the Retail Business Solutions for the Bookstore; Net Delphi which operates all conference and catering business; Access based Employee master file for payroll functions; Print Productions system to address the Print . Specific duties include: creating and developing web design/redesign (including e-commerce website); system administration to ensure stability; content management, technical writing, network administration, web hosting; new application design and maintenance of existing applications; support network management; end user support; designing systems; project management; training users; producing technical documentation and other associated duties.
Requirements of the position include: Undergraduate degree in computing or related field and several years' related work experience with networking technologies such as LAN, Ethernet, ISDN; proficiency in network operating systems such as Windows, Unix; knowledge and experience with network protocols such as TCP, IP or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven problem solving abilities, specifically as they pertain to application design and web based development; excellent communication skills.
