Animate Systems Inc. is a computer services company based in Toronto offering on-site technical support to a number of clients in the professional services industry.
We have an immediate vacancy for a: Network Specialist (Administrator)
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, Network Services, the Network Specialist will be responsible for:
On-site technical support and consulting services primarily for law firms.
Project planning, execution and supervision.
Hardware and software support for Microsoft and Novell servers with workstation operating systems ranging from DOS to Windows XP. Software support will be comprised of systems for back-up, remote access, Internet access/security, anti-virus, word processing, email/collaboration, accounting and other applications commonly found in general office and legal environments.
Requirements:
A minimum of a two year Community College diploma in Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or Science (or equivalent).
A minimum of four years experience in a systems support role with a solid foundation in PC, server and networking hardware and software, preferably with some experience supervising staff and projects.
Broad technical background with exceptional troubleshooting/logistical skills who enjoys a customer support role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-starter with a thorough approach to their work.
Ability and desire to work independently within a professional environment.
Flexibility to work occasional after hours, weekends and/or out-of-town.
Demonstrated desire to keep skills and product knowledge current.
