Duties: Responsible for recommending, configuring computer hardware and software; and installing and maintaining computer software to meet the business requirements. Perform administration and operation of database management systems, (Oracle Enterprise Edition 9iR2 and 10g, (SQL Server and DB2 also desirable). Provide knowledge of Data Modeling, and Architecture. Provide technical assistance and knowledge on Oracle RAC, Oracle Internet Application Server and Oracle Identity Management and Internet Directory and Oracle XMLDB.
Required: Oracle Streams, Advanced Replication, Advanced Queuing (AQ), Oracle Workflow
Highly desired - 10g AS experience
- Strong technical writing, documentation development, and consulting skills are necessary
- High degree of initiative and the ability to work independently and follow-through on assignments
- Experience as a DBA for the full SDLC, from Development through to Production
- Experience developing and implementing Backup/Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity plans
- Experience with Oracle Developer Suite Tools, Oracle Warehouse builder and Workflow.
- Experience with Windows and UNIX (Solaris and Linux) operating systems as a charge DBA
- Experience with Oracle RAC, Oracle OID, Oracle OEM, Oracle IM, and Oracle iAS.
- Experience with Gateways and ETL processes for legacy systems integration and migration.
- Team-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal, planning, coordination, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- High degree of initiative and the ability to work independently and follow-through on assignments
Skills and Experience:
· 7-10 years experience as responsible DBA or 4 years of relevant experience.
· Oracle DBA with Oracle Enterprise Edition 9iR2/10g background (primarily 9iR2).
· Should have Legislative business background. Must have a solid background in writing SQL and stored procedures
· Important that candidate have solid general DBA experience, from development through production stages.
· This candidate should also have experience with setting up and maintaining replication, particularly with updateable snapshots and Oracle Real Application Clusters.
· Preferably, the DBA candidate will have good exposure to DB2 and SQL-Server

3. Utilizing Advanced Replication, specifically Materialized view replication and multi-master replication
4. Utilization of Oracle Text Manager using:
