Job Description:
§ Design, construct and implement a web-enabled, object oriented J2EE Java component based contract management system using an iterative development approach, including prototyping;
§ Liaise with the Senior Business/System Analysts, Application Architect, end-users and the development team to clarify and confirm business requirements;
§ Create base objects for prototyping and for future systems development;
§ Interpret use cases / UML-based analysis model and provide formal design artifacts for complex components, implement source components according to final design;
§ Liaise with the Senior Business/System Analyst, Application Architect, corporate data architects, and DBA for the implementation of effective use of the physical data model;
§ Perform unit and performance testing, support system and user acceptance testing;
§ Identify and resolve barriers to successful iterative development and implementation;
§ Produce technical documentation;
Qualifications:
§ Expert experience in JSP framework and technology, Java 2 (JDK) with minimum of 2 years UI development experience;
§ Expert experience with OO system development methodologies and design patterns;
§ Expert knowledge of GUI component libraries and packages;
§ Expert experience in server-side J2EE and J2SE technologies (JMS, JDBC, etc.)
§ Proficiency in Multi-Threaded Programming;
§ Knowledge of WebSphere protocols and configuration parameters;
§ Expert experience in J2EE, Java and other OPS standard programming languages and other development tools (e.g., Hibernate, IDEs);
§ Experience with XML and XSL;
§ Expert in design of transaction-based systems;
§ Expert experience in Oracle 9 and PL/SQL;
§ Experience in implementation aspects of Oracle DBMS in conjunction with the WebSphere Application Server;
§ Extensive experience in RUP iterative development approach and Object Oriented methodology;
§ Extensive experience with use case realization, UML, and prototyping for rapid application development;
§ Good knowledge of data, application and technology architectures;
§ Demonstrated experience with Object Oriented analysis tools, such as Rational Rose; and change management and configuration management processes and tools;
§ Experience with informational database (data warehouse) development and technologies would be advantageous.
