Needed to work closely with Production to improve machine design and process methods. Individual needs to be highly motivated, with solid mechanical engineering back ground, good Autocad/inventor skills and must be an excellent communicatior. Duties include:
• Oversee cost saving initiative program.
• Do cost analysis to determine appropriate areas of savings, including out-sourcing.
• Source new vendors for competitive pricing.
• Develop jigs and fixtures where appropriate to cost effectively improve production.
• Create and modify BOMS and Routers in ERP system.
• Identify and conduct corrective action as quality problems arise.
ENGINEERING PLANNER
You’re able to tackle assignments with minimal supervision. Among your many responsibilities you’ll be expected to:
• Coordinate multiple projects and act as a liaison with customers on specialty projects
• Procure and source parts, components and sub-contract suppliers and assist with data entry in manufacturing management system
• Provide budget and actual costing information of custom projects.
• Assist with establishing, implementing and enforcing procedures in the Engineering department.
• Assist with preparing quotes for the Sales Department
Qualifications must include:
• Experience in Project Leading
• Organized person with good typing skills and phone skills
• Experienced in Microsoft Office and Manufacturing applications
• Technical Aptitude
• Experience with Auto Cad and Autodesk Inventor
