Database Administrator

A detail-oriented leader with exceptional technical, analysis, planning, design and development skills will excellent in this challenging opportunity. In addition to troubleshooting, tuning and ensuring the reliable availability of multiple DB2 databases, as well as working closely with development and vendor support teams, you will play a major role in the selection and deployment of other middleware web products and DBMS software products. As a result, you must have a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or an Electrical Engineering program, plus additional specialized DBA industry-recognized credentials, such as DB2 Information Management or MCDBA certification. Your 12 or more years of experience in a related business setting involve at least 8 years of working with Relational Database Management systems in a web-based enterprise application development environment, including object-oriented design most recently with DB2 on Linux and MSSQL on Windows server platforms. Excellent research, teamwork and communication abilities are essential. You will work 35 hours per week at a starting rate of $26.73 per hour.
