THE OPPORTUNITY:
A national multi-unit retail chain in the process of staffing its IT
department seeks to engage a RPG Programmer with solid AS400 experience.
IT, which has been serviced from abroad, will now be home based in Canada.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a multi unit retail
company with an exciting future.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Repatriate and implement all corporate IT Systems critical to the
effective operation of business in Canada including POS and help desk
activities, financial applications, supply chain and marketing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute IT Project priorities in conjunction with MIS Manager.
- Ensure programming tasks and timelines are deliverable.
- Deliver against programming standards
- Deliver against programming objectives
- Execute all RPG and AS/400 projects
- Support help desk personnel
- Ongoing maintenance and management support.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 to 5 Years experience as a RPG Programmer - a must.
- 3 to 5 years AS/400 experience - a must.
- MMS and DSS JDA software applications and Infinium - an asset.
- Experience in multi-unit retail environment
- College/University degree
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
- Work effectively in team environment and independently.
COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with experience.
