All employees who are covered by the certification with the Union shall, as a condition of continuing employment, authorize a deduction from their pay cheques of the amount of the dues, levies and assessments payable to the Union by a member of the Union.
The Employer shall provide the Union with a monthly list of new and terminated employees specifying the status, position and wage classification level of each employee.
The Union tries to protect the certified employee’s right , for example, the job seniority, investigating complaints of an urgent matter, sending a steward accompany an employee, at her request at a meeting called by the Employer, while disciplinary action is anticipated, etc.
On the other side, the professional regulating body – the professional association’s mission is safe and appropriate practice, regulated by members in the public interest, and achieved by promoting good practice, preventing poor practice, and intervening when practice is unacceptable.
