Here are some scenario:
1. after you sending resume, they call you for interview. during it you suprisingly realize the interviewers only interested the status company you worked with ( for purpose to get compititors inner information ) rather than your qulifications. the whole procreeding no business card sent to you, causing the interviewee don't know the name of interviewer. and further the duration is very short only 10 min. they don't care about how long you drive to interview place and how hard the prepartion you did.
2. one of my friend worked in a famous enigneering firm in mississauga, after laid off, he got one chance for interview, the guy ( interviewer) asked him a lot question about the former firm. With the hope and mood to get the job , he obey to answer all the questions ( some of them not related to the thing bwt theirs). when the quy got all the information, he said " because no position available, so we keep your resume on file, that's " My firend felt very angry , said if no opening why call me attend interview? my cover letter clearly indicate " I WOULD LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED POSITION AVAILABLE" Coudn't the quy read English ?
3. Another friend of mine told me one thing, last year he attended the interview, the boss said: " you come from Socialism country, here is the Canada, the system is very different with your country " My friend first not got deep impression of this statement, Later on, He suffered a lot different kinds of ethic discrimination even though he work performance being very well, and demonstrating acceptable oral and written skill and professional ability. This case only remind that potential interviewees must pay particularly attention to the words come from the mouth of interviewers. and use lawful weapon to protect ourself. for instance the "Canadian Carter of Right and Freedom " , " Ontario Human Right Committee" , and PEO disciplinary committee.
4. some of employment recruiter also call you on the phone, frequently ask your former employer informaiton, such as name , title, who is in charge of department, what happened to the company, what kind of project they did or they do etc. What I advice on is fact that you should try to avoid release these information for the purpose to escheat lawsuit.
So, these hints are to base on what I experience, I don't know it is necessary or not. I hope to get comments from all of you - my readers. Thank your time to read.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
