Medical surveillance for inactive TB

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛My parents are currently visiting us in Canada. Their immigration application is still in process. My father received a letter from CIC and Toronto public health and was told he is under medical surveillance because of inactive TB. There is medical follow up form enclosed which lists 7 items, such as X-ray chest copy, skin test, sputum sent. And most of items have been done when he had immigration medical check half a year ago. Then I called the doctor office to try to make an appointment, the reception said usually medical surveillance happens after obtaining immigrant status. She suggests I called Toronto public health to make sure when my father needs surveillance, before immigration or after immigration? The difference is I have to pay everything if it is before immigration, or the government will pay it if it is after immigration.

Did anyone have the same situation before? I means with visitor status to be put under medical surveillance. If yes, please let me know what you did. I will also try to call Toronto public health to get the answer.

Many thanks.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
