Your friend's suggestion is right, don't complain him/her. If you apply for 6 months your parents have to do physical examination before got visiting visa, that's a trouble too much!

Anyway, no matter how long time your parents' visa is valid, it's really expired for 6 months as long as they landed in Canada. Usually immigration officer will stress this to your parents when they enter Canada.

To renew visiting visa, just click a button in www.cic.gc.ca to order the application kit, then you can fill and send it out, it's so easy!

4月8日将所有材料准备齐全寄回中国，父母4月底将材料寄到北京加拿大使馆，昨天5月12日（北京时间）收到签证，可惜只有3个月，原来在递交时，有朋友建议将探亲时间填3个月，因为怕签证官认为有移民倾向，朋友说反正一签就6个月。现在惨了！不知是不是因为sars!

如何办父母签证延期:
1。去http://www.cici.gc.,ca/english/coming/evisitor.html 在Application Kit 里download一份申请表，添好。
2.order original receiptFees Receipt [Form IMM 5401](原始收据凭证)凭此去银行付上签证延期的费用$75。
3。按表内要求DOCUMENT CHECKLIST 付上要求的文件，放入23CM*30。5CM的信封内。寄：
