Skills and Competencies:
BSc in Computer Science or equivalent mix of education and experience.
3-5 uears experience installing and supporting software and system.
Strong technical skills installing and supporting hardware and software, including APP, GUS, TDC, TPS, Uniformance/ PHD and PlantScape.
Strong knoledge of NT/2000/XP Server and workstation security, domain administration and networking (DCOM, DNS, WINS, DHCP).
Experience wotj Windows system administration, including operationg system installation, layered product installation, device and account maintenance, script programming, disk maintenance.
Experience providing telephone and remote software support.
Good organizational skills, self-motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities, good communication skills.
MCSE a definite asset.
Responsibilities:
Second level customer support for GUSPro and Operator Performance Solutions product suites. Track support calls using Siebel, deliver product training. Provide the interface between customers and the product development team.
System support (TPS, PlantScape, PHD, GUS, TDC) for operations and development projects in London and other offices as required.
Patricipates in OTS projects, providing hardware and software configuration, procurement, installation and support.
Provides system support and small project consulting for customers in Eastern Canada.
Installs and supports Oracle, MS SQL Seerver, Windows XP/2000/NT Server and Workstation, AutoCAD, MS Visual Studio, Clear Case.
As part of a team, installs and supports MS operationg system, development tools, and third party software products for the London R&D groups.
