本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛My parents came here to visit us for almost one and half a years. They have visitor status. Last August, they had immigration medical examination after extending their stay. I started to sponsor them for immigration last November. The case has been sent to Buffalo. We received one mail from Buffalo office recently. One letter told us
"We have now completed the initial assessment of your application, and expect to finalize your application in the Regional Program Centre without a personal interview.
This letter contains important information regarding the continued processing of your application.”
Followed there are 7 categories such as: Medical information, Additional documents required, Right of permanent residence fee, Paying the RPRF, Members of the family class, Change of address, Change in family status.
The only thing has been checked is in the Additional documents required, “No additional documents are required at this time”.
However, the confusing thing is with this letter, there are also “Medical Report” forms. I know “Immigration medical results are valid for 12 months from the date of the examination.” If that is the case, my parents already had medical examination last August, why do they send the medical report form again? To ensure the visa office already had medical result, I also checked the CIC web site. Under my parents’ case status, it is clearly stated: “Medical results have been received.”
There may be two explanations: one is the office sent out the Medical report form as the standard procedure, even Medical examination has been done before. Two is CIC changed procedure, the medical examination between Immigration and visitor is different now. My parents have to do the examination again.
Could any one who has the same experience let me know what we should do? Ignore it or go to do examination again?
Thanks a lot.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
